Vaccine Day is April 15th. Make sure you bring this form with you the first day you come to outdoor meetings with your horse or pony. Please make sure the REQUIRED vaccination form filled out and your receipt or tags from your shots are attached. Here is the form: Vaccine Form
Here is the Service agreement and financial policy 2017 from Conley & Koontz that needs to be completed. In addition, here is a list of the services they will provide as well as the pricing 2017 Vaccine Pricing.

The annual Port-a-Pit Chicken Fundraiser will be held April 22nd. Members will have tickets available for sale after March 12th. Members and Adults are asked to volunteer to work the event by signing up here Port-a-Pit Workers or at the meeting.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE YOUR PROJECT:
In order to exhibit at the Wells County 4-H Fair, 4-H Horse & Pony members are REQUIRED TO:
Meet all enrollment or eligibility deadlines for member and animal.
Complete a 4-H record books and present it for review on or before the County due date. If the member is not available to have the book signed on that date, it is the member’s responsibility to have the book signed before the due date. Member’s books must include the following in order to receive a Record Book Certificate that will be required to be admitted to the 4-H fair:
Activity sheet - These are grade related activities and questions. The sheet will have ask questions related to the manual adopted by the club. (See the Leaders for the current version being used). Those manuals can be purchased or you may use the reference copy available in the Entry Booth.
Horse Record Sheet - The member must turn in a Horse Record Sheet for each horse they are exhibiting at the fair.
Record of Achievement – This form should be turned into the extension office during the fair
Participate in two (2) outdoor workshops with their animal
Complete Required Etiquette/Safety Check Off sheet (all members) NEW in 2017
1st & 2nd year Horse & Pony members are ALSO REQUIRED TO participate in one (1) of two (2) safety workshops
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CLUB SPONSORED AWARDS:
Club sponsored awards will be presented to qualifying members that have met the club guidelines in participation. These awards may consist of plaques, tack, trophies, etc.
Attend 50% of work days scheduled throughout the year, working a minimum of 2 hours. If you cannot make half of the scheduled dates, you may also come on a non-scheduled day and work a minimum of 2 hours (for each work day) with the grounds keeper or a project approved by board.
Must participate in half of the fundraisers scheduled and sell port-a-pit chicken tickets. (Minimum of 10 per member or 15 per family)
Each member is to clean assigned stalls throughout the year after each barn rental. Failure to do so will cause member to forfeit all club sponsored awards.
Each member is to turn in a minimum of $50 sponsor money.
The club hosted an annual tack auction fundraiser in February. Thank you all who attended, volunteered and made the event a success.
Wells County 4-H Horse & Pony will held its 3rd Annual Tack Swap on Sunday, February 5. Thank you to all who purchased a table and attended the event.
Outdoor workshops meeting for 2017 will start in May at 6:30 weather permitting. Please watch Facebook for updates on meeting cancellations. If you are not sure, please contact the leader for that night.

We will do our best to make the decision on the status of outdoor meetings before 5:30pm each night. However, if you have a question, please feel free to contact the leader on the night you are heading up. We will post all cancellations on the Facebook page as soon as a cancellation has been made. Be sure that your Facebook page is set to receive notices from our page. If you don't have Facebook, you should be able to see the feed on the right side of this page.
This year the club will hold safety meeetings outdoors for 1st and 2nd year members.
We have added a feed to our Facebook Page to this site. Please see the box on the right. It will update with information on cancelled meetings and urgent items that are posted on the Facebook page. You don't need to have Facebook to read the posts. Hope this will help with communication.
New Rule Book will were issued in 2014 and will cover the years through 2016. Reminder that class rules and procedures can be found in the state rule book. If you have questions, please ask. Click the link below for the book.
